Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Gates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jogi Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Gabriel Gates has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gates shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bear pinned against the cage. Bear gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bear tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gates closes the distance but Bear moves to the side

Still in half guard, Bear seems content to control.

Bear uses his free foot to push down on Gates's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gates.

Bear is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gates to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gates shrugs it off.

Bear has control of Gates's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gates regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jogi Bear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
