Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Blair Oneill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mile Banovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blair Oneill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mile Banovic!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banovic clinches with his opponent.
Oneill is trying to force a seperation but Banovic has the dominant position.

Banovic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Banovic closes the distance and clinches.
Oneill working hard to break the clinch.
Banovic jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oneill walks away with a smile on his face. Banovic gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Oneill gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Oneill wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Oneill jumps guard but Banovic stands there with Oneill around his waist. Oneill gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Banovic lands a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Banovic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Banovic throws a head kick but Oneill moves out of range.
Banovic tries to bum rush Oneill with a series of wild strikes but Oneill uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Banovic is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oneill sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Banovic has a takedown stuffed.
Blair Oneill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mile Banovic.

Banovic is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Oneill to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Oneill counters with a head kick.

Banovic tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oneill sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Banovic somewhat.
Oneill walks into a left hand.

Oneill has closed the distance and engaged Banovic in a clinch.
Oneill fails to pull guard.
Oneill is trying to push Banovic away but Banovic has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Banovic.
Banovic takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Banovic leaves Oneill with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Banovic makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Banovic throws a strike but Oneill rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Banovic controls Oneill momentarily but Oneill frees himself.

Oneill content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Banovic can do anything to dispel that myth.

Oneill got a little sloppy there for a moment and Banovic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Oneill has managed to get both his arms back between Banovic's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Blair Oneill.
