Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sakuraba has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sane finds it's way round the side to connect with Sakuraba's head.
Sakuraba shoots and misses
and Sane counters by clinching up.
Sane manages to break the clinch.
Sakuraba throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A shot to the liver by Sakuraba. Beautiful body shot.
Sakuraba on the wrong end of a nice jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sane throws a jab but it's blocked by Sakuraba.
Sane throws a hook but Sakuraba blocks it.
Sane is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Sakuraba misses with a takedown attempt - Sane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Justin Sane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Sakuraba.
Sane gets a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sakuraba jumps guard but Sane turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Sane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sane. Sakuraba does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sane lands with a cross.
Sakuraba misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A little feinted left hand from Sane on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sane, as that shot connected.
It looks like Don Sakuraba has been cut.
Sakuraba walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sakuraba throws a jab when Sane was well out of range.
Donk. Sakuraba catches Sane right on the button with a cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sane bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sakuraba's head backwards.
Sakuraba shoots in but Sane avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sane lands a jab to the nose.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sakuraba bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sakuraba.
Sane swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sane throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sakuraba stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sakuraba has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sane finds it's way round the side to connect with Sakuraba's head.
Sane drops Sakuraba with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sakuraba looks back up at him and smiles so Sane waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sakuraba is rocked!
Sane fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Sakuraba to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Sakuraba looks to clinch but Sane throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Sakuraba taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Justin Sane!
