Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Valdemir Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoshi Miura!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Miura swivels and escapes.
Valdemir Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Garcia gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Miura postures up and lands a big shot to Garcia's brow.

Garcia utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Miura sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Garcia's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Miura is tying to control. Garcia wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Garcia is looking to control Miura's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Garcia avoid being mounted?

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Garcia misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Garcia ducks under a wild hook from Miura.

Garcia cracks Miura with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Miura is wriggling around trying to escape.
Garcia tries to control but Miura wriggling away.
Miura manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Miura flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Satoshi Miura will probably get the nod.

Miura looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Garcia wants to control but Miura is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Garcia is looking to escape.

Miura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Miura is looking to advance position but Garcia won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Garcia makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Garcia.

Garcia is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Garcia pushes Miura off and gets back to his feet.

Garcia changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miura looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Miura is looking for a sweep. Garcia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Miura is trying to stand back up but Garcia is controlling him
Miura is looking to improve his position.
Miura wants to control but Garcia is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Garcia tries to pass to full mount but Miura defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garcia is thwarting Miura's attempts to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Garcia shoots in for a double leg but Miura sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Miura bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Miura scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Garcia tries to buck Miura off but Miura is having none of it.
Garcia wants to control but Miura postures up.
Miura throws an elbow but Garcia slips to the side and avoids it well.
Garcia sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Miura tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Garcia.
Garcia wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Satoshi Miura showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Garcia looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Garcia gets the takedown into side control.
Garcia is looking to take a break and control but Miura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Miura is trying to control Garcia's posture but Garcia avoids it.
Garcia looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Miura is avoiding damage well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Garcia trying to control the position but Miura is working away.

Garcia stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Valdemir Garcia is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Miura keeps the fight on the outside.
Miura avoids a punch combination nicely.
Miura misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Miura throws a right and a left that Garcia avoids nicely.

Miura closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Garcia has his takedown stuffed
and Miura counters with a big head kick but Garcia shrugs it off.
Garcia wants to clinch but Miura slips to the side
and Miura counters with a body kick.
Garcia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miura moves away.

Miura misses with a hook.
Garcia shoots in for a double leg but Miura sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Garcia fails with the takedown

and Miura counters with a shoot takedown. Garcia fights it but they end up in guard.

Well Miura has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
