Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Colombu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ulf Ek!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ek misses with a wild combination.
Ek scores with a sloppy right hand. Colombu should have avoided that one.
Colombu seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Colombu gets caught flat footed, as Ek shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ek content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Colombu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Ek changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Colombu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Colombu will probably get the nod.

Ek is looking to take a break and control but Colombu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ek throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ek is stalling here. Colombu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ek seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Colombu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Ek is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Colombu.
I think Colombu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
