The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreira throws the kick towards the body but Pakaldo avoids it.
Pakaldo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pakaldo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Moreira manages to avoid it.
Moreira unleashes a big counter combination but Pakaldo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Moreira misses the body punch
and Pakaldo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pakaldo punishes Moreira's body with a nice straight punch.
Pakaldo misses with a left hand
and Moreira counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A jab from Pakaldo does it's job there.
Pakaldo throws an overhand right that lands on Moreira's shoulder, as Moreira tries to avoid the shot.
Pakaldo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Moreira lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pakaldo enables Moreira to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pakaldo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Pakaldo wants to improve his position but instead Moreira has moved into half guard.
Pakaldo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moreira on the ground.
