Condit kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Noypi - Bamboo. Gabe Tate acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tate is defended easily by Condit.
Condit is looking for a counter combo.
Tate doesn't manage to clinch there - Condit circles away.
As Tate looks to move away, Condit throws a big counter combo but Tate just gets out of the way.
Tate doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Condit counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tate swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Condit counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Tate looks winded!
Condit swats away the attempt to clinch by Tate.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tate tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Condit defends well and Tate ends up having to push Condit into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Carlos Condit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabe Tate.
Tate wants to clinch up but Condit keeps it at a distance.
As Tate looks to move away, Condit throws a big counter combo but Tate just gets out of the way.
No joy there for Tate, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tate doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Condit counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gabe Tate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tate tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tate darts in trying to clinch
and Condit counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tate shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A counter left hand to the body from Condit misses its target.
Tate tries to close the distance and clinch but Condit swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tate throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Condit makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Tate shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Condit counter with a right hand.

Tate is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Condit stuffs the takedown attempt from Tate. Tate gets slowly back to his feet.
Condit was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Tate dives in and grabs Condit's left leg, looking for a takedown. Condit pushes down on Tate's head and hops out.
Tate throws a chopping leg kick but Condit manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Condit counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Tate gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Condit scores with a counter punch that sends Tate to the canvas! Condit smells blood - he's punishing Tate with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Tate has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
