Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grady dives in and scores a takedown into Elliot 's guard.
Grady content to stall in guard here.
Elliot is adopting a defensive guard.
Grady with a flurry of punches that miss.
Grady missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Grady throws a big elbow that misses.
Elliot looking for a sweep. Not yet Elliot , not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Elliot keeping moving, preventing Grady from controlling successfully.
Elliot is pulling down on Grady's head to control his posture.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Grady's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Grady trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Grady trying to control but Elliot is working from the bottom.
Grady preventing the sweep.
Grady wants to control from the top but Elliot keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Elliot can do anything to dispel that myth.
Elliot pulls Grady in close to prevent any damage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Elliot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grady. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Grady drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Elliot dives on top into guard.

Elliot wants to control from the top but Grady keeps moving.
Grady is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Elliot trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Elliot distracts Grady with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Elliot trying to control the position from guard on top but Grady is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grady is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Grady is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Elliot frees his head nicely. Oh but Grady has switched to an armbar! Elliot is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
