Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julio Bola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bola wants to clinch up but Herman keeps it at a distance.
Herman throws a low kick but Bola moves out of range easily.
Bola shoots in looking for a takedown. Herman tries to sprawl out of it but Bola keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Herman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bola tries to clinch up but Herman circles away and keeps his distance.

and Herman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bola leaves Herman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It looked like Bola was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bola shoots in for a double leg but Herman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
As Bola backs off Herman throws a huge counter combo but Bola manages to avoid it all.
Herman has a takedown stuffed.
Herman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bola.

Herman tries to free his leg and advance position but Bola is retaining full guard.

Bola is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Herman frees his head nicely. Oh but Bola has switched to an armbar! Herman is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
