Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Winnie Pooh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luan Alves!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pooh darts in looking for a takedown but Alves gets double underhooks and turns Pooh into the cage.
Pooh misses with a right hand
and Alves counters with a nice uppercut.
Pooh gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Alves breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pooh moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Pooh seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pooh looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pooh decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pooh is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Well, if Pooh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Pooh in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Alves tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Pooh!
