Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chadwick Kirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bestiarius Carpophorus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kirk has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Carpophorus is trying to keep an underhook but Kirk manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kirk connects with a nice short shot to Carpophorus's temple.
Kirk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carpophorus can do anything to dispel that myth.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kirk in particular looking to stall.
