The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucania feints and then cracks Gorman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gorman down.
Gorman is looking to clinch.
Gorman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lucania looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gorman tries to clinch there but Lucania circles away.
Gorman tries to clinch but Lucania moves out of range.

Lucania tries to keep at a distance but Gorman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Gorman swings wildly with an uppercut but Lucania uses good head movement to avoid it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Lucania digs a right hand into Gorman's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Gorman's gas tank.
Lucania crunches a lovely knee into Gorman's ribcage.
Gorman is breathing heavily.

Lucania's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've been told by Gorman's head coaches at RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lucania closes the distance and pushes Gorman back into the cage.

Lucania's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Gorman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Gorman moves to clinch but Lucania breaks away
and Lucania counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gorman's knee momentarily.
Lucania delivers a nice body kick.
Gorman throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lucania counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gorman thinking.
Lucania Throws a clean left jab. Lucania Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Gorman's chin! Gorman crumbles to the ground and Lucania follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Lucania!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Salvatore Lucania!
A very excited looking Salvatore Lucania rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
