PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pete Garret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garret decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Truck wants to get back to full guard.
Truck trying to control but Garret postures up.
Garret is controlling the pace.
Truck wants to control but Garret is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Truck should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Garret lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Truck trying to hold on to Garret's head to control him but Garret postures up.
Garret slows the pace down in half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Garret shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Garret has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Garret there as he acknowledges the shot.
Garret really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Truck misses with a body kick.
Truck scores with a kick to the body.
Truck tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Garret shoots in but no luck this time.

Truck leaves Garret with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Garret. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Truck lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garret circles away quickly and effectively.
Truck with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Truck lands with a slapping head kick.
Garret shoots for a takedown but Truck saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Garret blocks a head kick by Truck.
Tommy Truck is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Garret avoids a punch combination nicely.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Garret.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Truck is being controlled here.
Garret throws a strike aimed at the side of Truck's head but Truck avoids it well.
Truck tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garret wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Garret looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Truck looks to move to half guard but instead Garret has passed into mount! Damn!
Garret wants to control the pace but Truck is squirming around nicely.
Truck is working to get back to half guard.

Garret has hold of Truck's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Truck manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Garret tries to control but Truck wriggling away.
Truck is desperately trying to improve his position but Garret has a good base and remains in mount.
Garret throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Garret throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Truck has his hands clasped together but Garret breaks the hold and Truck is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Garret!
