Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamir Amini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lara has chosen 'I Stand Alone' by Godsmack as his entrance music. Alexander Lara is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amini fails with a takedown attempt.

Lara is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

Amini can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lara is looking to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Amini is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lara is surviving well by controlling Amini's body position as best he can.
Lara tries to lock up and control but Amini gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lara is trying to escape the mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lara can do anything to dispel that myth.
Amini fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Lara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Amini. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Amini pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Amini has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Amini is really struggling to control Lara but he's trying to hold on to the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Amini gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Lara throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Amini sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lara throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Amini sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lara shoots in looking for a takedown. Amini tries to sprawl out of it but Lara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Amini manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lara scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amini manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lara's best efforts.
Amini regains full guard. Nicely done.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Amini here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Amini manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lara stuffs the takedown attempt from Amini. Amini gets slowly back to his feet.

and Lara counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lara.
Lara wants to control from the top but Amini keeps moving.
Lara throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Amini works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Amini is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Amini is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Amini has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Amini working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Amini is tightening it up a little... Lara has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lara reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lara taps out! nice BJJ there by Amini!
