Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saint Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua LeFlare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jump Around by House of Pain. Joshua LeFlare has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick moves in looking to clinch but LeFlare pushes him off.
LeFlare fails to land with a series of punches.
LeFlare looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Good leg kick by LeFlare there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Patrick uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before LeFlare has time to react.
LeFlare tries to bum rush Patrick with a series of wild strikes but Patrick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
LeFlare misses with a wild body shot.
LeFlare misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Patrick moves in looking to clinch but LeFlare pushes him off.
LeFlare keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
LeFlare scoring well with a low kick there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

LeFlare clinches with his opponent.
Patrick fails to pull guard.
Patrick jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as LeFlare walks away with a smile on his face. Patrick gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Patrick throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Patrick closes the distance and pushes LeFlare back into the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as LeFlare takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
I was talking to Patrick's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Patrick is trying to pull guard but LeFlare has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Saint Patrick. That's going to take a lot out of him.

LeFlare breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Patrick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but LeFlare paws at him with a jab and circles away.
LeFlare is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Patrick with a body shot.

LeFlare moves into range and clinches up with Patrick.
Patrick tries to pull guard but LeFlare holds him up against the cage and eventually Patrick drops back down to his feet.

Patrick has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. LeFlare doesn't defend quickly enough and Patrick has managed to lock this one up! Can LeFlare escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Patrick on a fantastic submission victory.
