The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salonen shoots in and drives through. Elvis sprawls well.
Salonen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Elvis is fending him off so far but Salonen persists. Nope, Elvis circles away and we're back to standing.
Jenni Salonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salonen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Diego Elvis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jenni Salonen.
Elvis throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Salonen closes the distance and clinches up with Elvis, looking for a takedown. Salonen pushes Elvis against the cage but Elvis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Elvis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salonen to the mat! Salonen manages to get full guard.
Elvis lands a couple of digs.
Elvis works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Elvis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Salonen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Elvis lands a nice short elbow.

Salonen is bucking up trying to escape but Elvis cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
