The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

lage moves into the clinch.
Sanko looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Sanko goes for a takedown attempt but lage pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

lage gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
lage is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

lage is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sanko can't fight it off and eventually lage manages to take the fight to the floor. Sanko looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
lage passes Sanko's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sanko is in trouble now - lage has advanced to mount!

lage is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

lage moves into range and clinches up with Sanko.

lage turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

lage has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sanko is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. lage yanks on the arm and Sanko is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by lage.
