And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jiri Necas!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cierpka gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Cierpka is desperately trying to improve his position but Necas has a good base and remains in mount.
Necas avoids the attempt from Cierpka to control.

Necas escapes and gets back to his feet.

Cierpka darts in and clinches Necas up against the cage.

Necas breaks the clinch.

Cierpka rushes Necas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Necas prevents a takedown attempt there.

Necas wants to break the clinch but can't.

Cierpka breaks from the clinch.

Necas tries to break free but Cierpka pushes him back against the cage.

Cierpka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cierpka moves into the clinch.
Necas stops a takedown attempt from Cierpka.

Cierpka is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Necas can't fight it off and eventually Cierpka manages to take the fight to the floor. Necas looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cierpka wants to control but Necas is keeping him busy.

Cierpka is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Necas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Cierpka staying calm.
Necas is looking to reverse the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cierpka has hold of Necas's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Necas seems comfortable defending it but Cierpka has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Necas is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Necas is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cierpka couldn't care less - he's delighted!
