The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Garcia closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pupoo counters with a nice uppercut.
Garcia throws a body punch but Pupoo moves out of range.
Pupoo loads up on a big right hand but Garcia slips the punch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garcia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pupoo was well out of range. Poor timing from Garcia.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Pupoo seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Pupoo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pupoo feints and then cracks Garcia's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Garcia down.
Pupoo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pupoo swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Garcia.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Pupoo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Garcia thinking.

Pupoo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pupoo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Pupoo is nestled in close to Garcia, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
