Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hansov Assid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paddy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Millencolin - Happiness For Dogs kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paddy Brown!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Assid shoots in and drives through. Brown sprawls well.
Brown clobbers Assid with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Brown shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Assid is trying to defend but Brown finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Let's hope that Brown has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Assid is in all sorts of trouble here.

Brown is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Assid has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Assid!
Our spies down at at Pewter Gym inform us that Brown has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Brown is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Brown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Assid does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Brown is trying for a kimura here. Assid looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Brown wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Paddy Brown!
Paddy Brown decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
