Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mikel Buttesen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Mulligan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buttesen comes to the cage accompanied by Svennebanan. Drake Mulligan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulligan keeps the fight on the outside.
Buttesen is looking to clinch but Mulligan is avoiding it.
Buttesen tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Mulligan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Buttesen's guard.

Buttesen manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Buttesen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mulligan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Buttesen closes the distance and pushes Mulligan back into the cage.
Nice elbow from Buttesen.
Buttesen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Mulligan has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Mulligan takes a knee right on the jaw!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Buttesen tries a knee to the head but Mulligan blocks it.
Buttesen with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Mulligan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Mulligan is trying to trip Buttesen. He has hold of a leg but Buttesen is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mulligan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Mulligan sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Buttesen doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Mulligan paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Buttesen - great work!
