Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benny Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Boult (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane Boult struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Benny Perez looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez drives through with a takedown into guard.
Perez won't allow Boult to get back to his feet.

Perez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Perez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Perez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boult swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boult wants to get back to his feet but Perez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Perez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Perez trying to control the position from guard on top but Boult is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Perez tries to free his leg and advance position but Boult is retaining full guard.
Boult told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perez with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Perez lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Boult is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Perez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Perez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Boult wants to get back to his feet.
Perez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Boult!
Boult wants to hold on but Perez pushes him away.

Perez throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Boult has his hands clasped together but Perez breaks the hold and Boult is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Perez!
