Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Batman One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Batman One!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Anderson!
Anderson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
One fails in his attempt to clinch.
Anderson is looking to counter punch.
A jab from Anderson finds it's way through One's defenses.

One has closed the distance and engaged Anderson in a clinch.
One stalling in the clinch.
One should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Anderson digs a right hand into One's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on One's gas tank.
Anderson lands a body punch in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

One tries to close the distance and clinch but Anderson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Anderson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
One needs to keep his hands up - Anderson had a free shot at his head there.

One taking a breather.
One will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Anderson up against the cage.

One continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Anderson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
One takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Anderson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Anderson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Anderson lands with a straight right. One didn't see that one coming.

Anderson misses with a few strikes there.
Anderson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ones jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

One darts in trying to clinch
enabling Anderson to counter with a crisp jab.
One moves in looking to clinch but Anderson pushes him off.
Anderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that One can do to turn this around?

One gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Anderson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anderson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
