Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nemanja Sirovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sirovic decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Velasquez preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Velasquez continues to stall.
Velasquez is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Velasquez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Sirovic looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sirovic is trying to control. Velasquez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Velasquez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Velasquez wants to control but Sirovic is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Velasquez is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Sirovic wants to pass the guard but Velasquez is defending well.

Sirovic wants to take a breather but Velasquez is having none of it.

Sirovic is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Velasquez sees it coming and defends easily.

Sirovic is fighting to break Velasquez's control of his arms but Velasquez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Velasquez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sirovic manages to pass to side control.
Velasquez is concentrating on defense, preventing Sirovic from advancing position.
Velasquez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Sirovic is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Sirovic takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sirovic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Velasquez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sirovic might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Velasquez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Velasquez tries to get to full guard but Sirovic has control of the leg.

Sirovic lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Velasquez down.
Velasquez seems a little lost for a moment, as Sirovic dominates the positioning.
Sirovic is looking to take a break and control but Velasquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sirovic stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Sirovic lands a big head kick that sends Velasquez tumbling to the mat! Sirovic takes a step backwards and waves Velasquez back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Sirovic shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Velasquez is on queer street and Sirovic is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
