Veliahos comes into the arena with Slipknot - Snapl blaring out of the sound system. Hector Veliahos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jade lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Veliahos circles away quickly and effectively.

No joy there for Veliahos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fighters circling - Jade throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Veliahos throws a left that rocks Jade and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Veliahos dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Jade regain composure!

Veliahos goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Jade counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Veliahos down! Jade is looking to finish but Veliahos is intelligently defending himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jade decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Veliahos, up you get!
Nice combo by Jade! Oh, that's hurt him - Veliahos falls to the canvas and Jade follows him into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jade decides to stand up, so the ref orders Veliahos to his feet.
Jade throws out a loose jab but Veliahos uses good head movement to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Veliahos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jade throws out the jab.
Jade looks to score with a jab to the body but Veliahos is just out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Veliahos swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jade makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Veliahos throws a hook but Jade blocks it.
Jade throws a hook to the side of Veliahos's head but Veliahos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice defenses there by Veliahos.
Veliahos fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jade pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jade, as that shot connected.
Veliahos keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jade.

and Jade connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Veliahos drops his hands momentarily and Jade takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hector Veliahos's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Jade drops Veliahos with a right and a left! Jade comes rushing in but Veliahos regains his composure and manages to keep Jade in guard.
Veliahos is rocked!

Jade decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jeez, Hector Veliahos's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Jade keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jade cracks Veliahos with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jade has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Veliahos to stand back up!
Oh Veliahos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hector Veliahos's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
