Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrek Boudreaux!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyner takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Boudreaux throws a front kick that sends Joyner stumbling back into the cage.

Boudreaux has taken the fight to the clinch.
Joyner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boudreaux walks away with a smile on his face. Joyner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Boudreaux throws a head kick that misses

and Joyner counters with a single leg into guard. Boudreaux didn't expect that.
Boudreaux is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Joyner is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boudreaux has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Joyner has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boudreaux breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Joyner has Boudreaux up against the cage in a clinch.
Joyner wants to take the fight to the mat but Boudreaux manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Boudreaux prevents Joyner from breaking the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Joyner goes for a takedown attempt but Boudreaux pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mathew Joyner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boudreaux tries to clinch but Joyner is having none of it.

and Joyner counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Boudreaux!
Boudreaux wants to get back to his feet but Joyner is dominant here and he's now got Boudreaux's back!

Boudreaux tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Joyner sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Boudreaux to tap. Impressive finish!
