Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pete Dillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillan keeps the fight on the outside.
Dillan is looking to chop away at Henry's legs.

Dillan misses with an uppercut. Henry saw that one coming.
Henry takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


It looks like Steve Henry has been cut.
Henry throws a looping overhand right but Dillan ducks down to avoid it.
Henry lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Henry tries to clinch but Dillan moves out of range.
Dillan blocks the body kick.

Dillan wants to stand and escape but Henry is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dillan throws a series of strikes that have Henry backpedaling.
Dillan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Henry!
Henry lands with a nice combination. Dillan backs away looking to recover.
Pete Dillan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dillan lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dillan.
The fighters circle momentarily. Henry darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dillan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Dillan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dillan shoots in but Henry avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dillan is trying to control the action in half guard but Henry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Henry pushes Dillan off looking to stand but Dillan dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dillan decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Dillan jabbing away but nothing is landing.

and Dillan counters with a nice uppercut.

Dillan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Henry's head backwards.

Dillan throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Henry counter with a right hand.
Henry tries for a takedown but Dillan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dillan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Dillan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Henry momentarily.

Dillan bucks Henry off and manages to get back to his feet!

Henry moves forwards but Dillan connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Dillan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Dillan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Henry tries to avoid it but Dillan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Henry to the ground. Henry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
