The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blake shoots in and gets a takedown into Impallomeni's guard.

Impallomeni has his feet on Blake's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Blake tries to clinch but Impallomeni moves out of range.

Blake bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Impallomeni has one of Blake's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Impallomeni avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Blake.
Impallomeni sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Blake is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Impallomeni is pressing down on Blake's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Impallomeni is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Impallomeni is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blake doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Impallomeni.

Impallomeni is working for a kimura but Blake is defending it quite comfortably.
Impallomeni takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Impallomeni is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Impallomeni has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
