Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muggin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Paterson defends it nicely.
Paterson works Muggin's body with a nice hook.
Muggin has a takedown stuffed.
Paterson throws a right hand that Muggin ducks under and follows up with a left that Muggin also avoids with ease.
Muggin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Paterson as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mean Muggin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Muggin tries to clinch up.
Paterson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Muggin circles away quickly and effectively.
Muggin appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Muggin shoots in looking for a takedown but Paterson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Muggin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Paterson stuns Muggin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Muggin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Paterson defends well and Muggin ends up having to push Paterson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Muggin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Paterson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Muggin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Paterson keeps the fight on the outside.

Muggin is rocked!
Muggin dives in and grabs Paterson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Paterson pushes down on Muggin's head and hops out.
Oh Muggin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Paterson lands a big right hook! Muggin looks hurt but is still standing! Paterson lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Muggin falls down and Paterson dives in with a huge hammer fist! Muggin's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Paterson runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Louis Paterson!
