Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Dirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Behring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Dirt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ian Behring!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Behring dives in and grabs Dirt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dirt pushes down on Behring's head and hops out.
Dirt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Dirt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Behring avoids the elbow strike from Dirt, against the cage.

Dirt turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Dirt definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Behring is not content to let Dirt control the position.
Behring is trying to improve his position.

Dirt is trying to get an arm triangle but Behring is defending well.
Behring prevents Dirt from moving into mount.

Dirt is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Behring knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dirt throws a strike aimed at the side of Behring's head but Behring avoids it well.

Dirt trying to control the action but Behring is working from the bottom.

Dirt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Behring has escaped the position, nice work there.
Behring tries to buck Dirt off but Dirt is having none of it.
Dirt wants to control but Behring is keeping him busy.

Dirt looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Behring is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dirt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Behring is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Behring is looking for a sweep.
Behring wants to control but Dirt postures up.
Dirt is looking to take a break and control but Behring is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Behring is trying to get back to half guard.
Behring is not content to let Dirt control the position.

Behring tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Dirt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dirt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Dirt wants to control but Behring is keeping him busy.
Behring tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dirt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dirt thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Behring is trying to get back to half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dirt tries to move to full mount but Behring actually manages to regain half guard.

Behring looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Behring actively working from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Behring trying to control from the bottom.

Dirt is looking for a kimura here.
Dirt wants to free his trapped foot but Behring is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dirt is trying to work for a kimura but Behring is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Dirt looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Behring!

Dirt working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Dirt has control of Behring's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Behring regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Behring really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Behring prevents Dirt from taking his back.
Dirt wants to control the pace but Behring is squirming around nicely.
Behring is trying to escape the mount.

Dirt is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Behring is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Dirt wants to finish this one by submission but Behring is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dirt.
Behring tries to reverse the position but Dirt maintains control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dirt trying to control but Behring is having none of it.
Behring is working to get back to half guard.
Behring keeps trying to improve his position.

Dirt working for a guillotine from mount but Behring is in no mood to give up.
Dirt wants to take Behring's back here but Behring is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Dirt looking to control but Behring is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Dirt throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Behring is working to get back to half guard.
Behring gets back to half guard.
Behring is pressing down on Dirt's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Behring trying to keep a closed guard but Dirt is proving a slippery customer.

Behring looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dirt tries to free his leg and advance position but Behring is retaining full guard.

Dirt wants to control from the top but Behring keeps moving.
Dirt looking to pass the guard.
Behring is trying to keep Dirt in close.

Behring working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dirt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dirt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Behring has his feet on Dirt's thighs here. He's pushed Dirt off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Dirt screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
