Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lim Yun Gyu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes into the arena with Fugees - Ready or not blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Lim Yun Gyu enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lim Yun Gyu!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Yun Gyu scores with a four punch combination!

White bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Yun Gyu dodges the ground and pound from White.
Yun Gyu parries the strikes from White easily there. White is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Yun Gyu to escape.
Yun Gyu is letting White control him for a moment.
Yun Gyu defending against the ground and pound.

White in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

White lands a nice forearm strike.

White creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Yun Gyu parries the strikes from White easily there. White is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Yun Gyu to escape.

White scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Yun Gyu to see if he's OK.
White has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Yun Gyu is letting White control him for a moment.

White slows the pace down.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yun Gyu for as long as he can get away with.
We've been hearing that White has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

White postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Yun Gyu prevents White from moving into mount.
White creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Yun Gyu sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Yun Gyu avoids any damage from the ground and pound of White.
White is chipping away with strikes.
White moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Sloppy strikes there by White.

White is staying tight to Yun Gyu's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Yun Gyu wants to get back to his feet but White drags him back down.
White throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Yun Gyu works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
White seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
White missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

White throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
White not landing any meaningful shots this time.
White is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Yun Gyu has hold of White's hands but White slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yun Gyu is looking to escape.
Yun Gyu is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

White seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
White thows a huge punch but Yun Gyu dodges it nicely.
Yun Gyu regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from White.
White is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yun Gyu can do to turn this around?

White lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
White throwing strikes from guard but Yun Gyu blocks nicely.
White in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
White passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Yun Gyu is breathing heavily.
White sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Yun Gyu is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White scoring with punches and elbows.
White scores with a couple of short elbows.
White is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Yun Gyu takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yun Gyu can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
White in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Yun Gyu looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! White turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris White!
A very excited looking Chris White made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
