The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz stuffs the takedown.

Diaz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dyer was covering up waiting for the punch and Diaz finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Diaz is stalling in the full guard.

Dyer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Diaz stacks Dyer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Diaz!
Dyer is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Diaz is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dyer is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Diaz turns him over and now has his back.

Dyer is trying to control the position but Diaz manages to sink in the RNC - Dyer is forced to tap!
