McDonough is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: All Eyez On Me. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zane Fletcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam McDonough!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fletcher takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fletcher fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDonough avoids it really well and circles away.
McDonough lands a nice looking body shot.
Fletcher shoots in looking for a takedown but McDonough manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fletcher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McDonough lands a jab to Fletcher's midsection.
Fletcher is looking to clinch but McDonough is avoiding it.
Fletcher throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and McDonough counters with a straight right hand.
McDonough lands a jab.

Fletcher moves into the clinch.

Fletcher ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fletcher no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fletcher has his hands on McDonough's head, controlling the position.
Fletcher wants to stand up but McDonough is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McDonough wants to stand but Fletcher has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
McDonough won't allow Fletcher to sweep him here.
Fletcher seems keen to control McDonough's posture.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fletcher tries to close the distance and clinch but McDonough swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fletcher tries to clinch there but McDonough circles away.
Fletcher swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Fletcher gets control of McDonough's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fletcher will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Fletcher looking for a sweep. Not yet Fletcher, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fletcher is pulling down on McDonough's head to control his posture.
Fletcher striking off his back but it's not causing McDonough any problems.
McDonough has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fletcher is proving hard to escape from.

McDonough is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Fletcher is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
We've been informed that McDonough has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
A shot to the liver by McDonough. Beautiful body shot.

Fletcher clinches.
McDonough fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Fletcher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fletcher looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zane Fletcher. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fletcher is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McDonough stuns Fletcher with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Adam McDonough seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDonough misses with a right hand
and Fletcher counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by Fletcher.
Fletcher pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
McDonough connects with a looping right hand.
Good shot there by Fletcher.
McDonough throws a right and a left that Fletcher avoids nicely.
Fletcher blocks a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fletcher shoots for a double leg takedown but McDonough sprawls well. He's pushed Fletcher's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fletcher is breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McDonough lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
McDonough lands a nice hook to Fletcher's body. Fletcher takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
McDonough circles away from the clinch attempt.
McDonough lands with a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam McDonough dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Danga de danga de dang - McDonough scores with a four punch combination!
McDonough misses with the combination.
A decent looking cross lands there for McDonough.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fletcher.
Fletcher moves away from the strike by McDonough.
As McDonough tries to get set, Fletcher tries to push him back and clinch up but McDonough manages to avoid the attempt.
McDonough lands a right hook to the body.
Fletcher slips a straight right by McDonough.
Fletcher looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
McDonough has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McDonough walks forward, straight into a front kick from Fletcher.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDonough with a jab.


It looks like Zane Fletcher has been cut.
Fletcher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fletcher takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McDonough with a nice cross.
Fletcher throws a leg kick but McDonough checks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McDonough connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fletcher. Fletcher circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Fletcher takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


Fletcher is rocked!
McDonough cracks Fletcher with a hook to the temple - Fletcher is on wobbly legs here! McDonough swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Fletcher falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! McDonough wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Adam McDonough!
