Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zod Wettin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Vale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vale has chosen Motorhead-Iron Fist as his entrance music. Zod Wettin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Zod Wettin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Vale!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wettin shoots in but Vale avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vale lands a nice looking body shot.
Wettin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That kick from Vale tenderised Wettin's leg. Wettin is trying to keep his angry face on.
Wettin fails with the takedown.
Wettin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wettin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Vale lands a nice shot that snaps Wettin's head back.

Vale tries to sprawl but Wettin drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Wettin passes the guard and advances to mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Vale avoids a series of strikes thrown by Wettin.
Vale wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wettin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


It looks like Simon Vale has been cut.

Vale felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wettin tries to control but Vale wriggling away.
Vale seems to have recovered his senses.
Wettin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wettin is trying to control here but Vale has managed to regain half guard.

Still in half guard, Wettin seems content to control.
Vale has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wettin is working away from the top position though.

Wettin is looking to take a break and control but Vale is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Wettin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Vale is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wettin is trying to control. Vale wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The cut man is working on Simon Vale's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Vale is looking to clinch but Wettin is avoiding it.
Nice takedown defense from Vale. No joy for Wettin on that attempt.
Vale tries to counter by closing the distance.
Jab, jab by Vale - just one landing.

Vale gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vale can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wettin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wettin passes Vale's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vale is staying active underneath Wettin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Vale really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wettin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wettin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Wettin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wettin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vale can do to turn this around?

Wettin postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Vale out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Wettin goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Zod Wettin!
An intense looking Zod Wettin took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Get this piece of sh*t outta my cage. I beat him in the last fight and he was lucky to even get another chance against the great one. I'm undefeated and the best in this division. Pay attention and prepare to Believe. Zod!'.
Simon Vale was interviewed post fight and said 'The Holy one will sure miss the USFC. GOD BLESS'.
