The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lesnar pinned against the cage. Lesnar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Lesnar swings wildly with an uppercut but Lee uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lee misses with a head shot. Lesnar uses the momentum to regain guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lee passes Lesnar's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Lesnar had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lee is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lesnar Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lee's back instead.

Lesnar is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lee has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Lesnar is trying to stick to Lee's back but Lee is turning into Lesnar. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lesnar's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lee.

Lee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lesnar with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mohammed Lee has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lesnar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
