The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanska shoots for a double leg takedown but Carwin sprawls well. He's pushed Hanska's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Carwin throws a right and a left that Hanska avoids nicely.
Carwin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Carwin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters circle momentarily. Carwin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hanska walks into a stiff left hand from Carwin.

Hanska throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carwin.
Carwin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hanska on the side of the head.
Oh Hanska is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carwin misses with a double jab.
Hanska gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Carwin.
No joy there for Carwin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hanska seems to have got his legs back now.
Carwin throws a combination. Hanska tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Brock Carwin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carwin lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Hanska can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Carwin and Hanska drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Carwin.
