The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muminka fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Melamies sprawls well initially but Muminka persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Muminka lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
It looks like Mikko Melamies has been cut.
Melamies tries to kick Muminka off but Muminka keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Melamies taking some punishment here, with Muminka in his half guard.
Melamies on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Muminka is looking to take a break and control but Melamies is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Muminka is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Melamies is trying to stand up here but Muminka is controlling him well.
Muminka has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Muminka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Melamies can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Muminka has control of Melamies's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Melamies regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Melamies is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
Muminka looking to isolate an arm here. Melamies doesn't see it coming and as Muminka extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Muminka!
