Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kung Fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takashi Tiura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kung Fu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Tiura!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fu closes the distance and clinches.

Fu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fu clinches with his opponent.
Fu looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Tiura is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fu creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Fu is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Fu lands an elbow inside.
Fu can't break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tiura wants to stall.
Tiura tries to break free but Fu pushes him back against the ropes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tiura has Fu pushed against the ropes.
Tiura is trying to maintain a safe position but Fu gets an underhook and turns Tiura into the ropes.
Fu wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Tiura takes an elbow to the forehead.
Fu could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fu tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Tiura's elbow.

Tiura has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Fu is trying to keep an underhook but Tiura manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Fu scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Tiura manages to mount him!
Fu is squirming around, avoiding Tiura's attempts to control the action.
Fu tries to reverse the position but Tiura maintains control.
Tiura landing punches.


It looks like Kung Fu has been cut.
Fu is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tiura postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fu looks a forlorn figure.


Kung Fu's cut is getting worse.
Fu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tiura on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tiura with shots to the head and body - Fu looks very uncomfortable down there.


Kung Fu's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Tiura looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Fu covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takashi Tiura!
