The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanssen shoots in and drives through. Burt sprawls well.
Burt throws a big counter combination but Hanssen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Burt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Anders Hanssen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanssen shoots and misses

Burt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hanssen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Burt is in Hanssen's guard.

Hanssen has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Burt is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Hanssen is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Burt is keeping busy.
Burt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Burt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hanssen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hanssen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Burt has hold of Hanssen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hanssen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Burt cranks the arm and Hanssen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hanssen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
