The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hudson moves into range and clinches up with Perkins.

Hudson wants the takedown. Perkins is fighting it off but Hudson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Perkins's guard against the cage.

Perkins pushes Hudson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Perkins doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hudson counters with a two punch combo.
A head kick misses from Hudson.
Perkins appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hudson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Perkins, pushing him back against the cage.
Perkins is trying to push Hudson away but Hudson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

It looks like Lucius Perkins has been cut.

Hudson scores with a nice hook to the head.
Perkins is looking to take this one to the mat.
Perkins has Hudson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hudson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucius Perkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perkins wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Perkins changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hudson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Hudson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hudson digs a right hand into Perkins's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Perkins's gas tank.
Oh Perkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perkins tries to circle away but Hudson has him pinned against the cage.

Perkins is breathing heavily.
Perkins is pressed against the cage. Hudson pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Perkins! Two more big strikes from Hudson and Perkins crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
