PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between BJ BALLSACK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Nastie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nastie has chosen Roots Bloody Roots by Sepultura as his entrance music. Bo Nastie is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, BJ BALLSACK!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bo Nastie!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nastie throws a right and a left that BALLSACK avoids nicely.
Nastie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nastie tries to clinch but BALLSACK is having none of it.
Nastie throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nastie tries to clinch up.
BALLSACK shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nastie as he jumps to the side.

BALLSACK prevents Nastie from improving his position.

Nastie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nastie.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nastie holds on and takes a little breather.

Nastie has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes BALLSACK off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Nastie has control of BALLSACK's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and BALLSACK regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Nastie blocks BALLSACK's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
BALLSACK is bucking up trying to escape but Nastie cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
BALLSACK is in all sorts of trouble here.
BALLSACK really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nastie fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bo Nastie dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

BALLSACK is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
BALLSACK has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as BALLSACK accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nastie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in BALLSACK's guard.

Nastie working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. BALLSACK turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Nastie off and cradles BALLSACK's limp body as Nastie celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Bo Nastie!
