Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erasmo Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitaliy Axenchik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erasmo Ryan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vitaliy Axenchik!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Axenchik manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ryan on his heels. He'll look to pass Ryan's guard now, I'm sure.

Axenchik gets to his feet. Ryan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Axenchik decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Axenchik is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ryan defends it well.
Axenchik seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ryan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Axenchik is looking to advance position but Ryan won't allow it.

It looks like Axenchik is going to stand back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Axenchik.

Axenchik thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Axenchik is looking to take a break and control but Ryan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ryan is working for takedown but Axenchik is calmly controlling the position for now.

Ryan is defending against the submission attempts here by Axenchik.
Axenchik takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Ryan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Axenchik is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Axenchik has closed the distance and engaged Ryan in a clinch.

Ryan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Axenchik is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ryan to the mat. Ryan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ryan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Axenchik stands up and waves to Ryan to follow him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ryan wants to clinch up but Axenchik keeps it at a distance.

Axenchik closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ryan wants to get back to full guard.
Axenchik is taking a breather. Ryan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Axenchik decides to stand and escape the position.
Vitaliy Axenchik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well Axenchik has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
