Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cool Arnost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Siusiakov Pindolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Cool Arnost has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cool Arnost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Siusiakov Pindolov!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arnost shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pindolov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Arnost postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pindolov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Arnost, into his guard.

Pindolov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Pindolov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Arnost, up you get!

Arnost darts in and clinches Pindolov up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pindolov wants to break free but Arnost has control.

Arnost turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Arnost manages to end up in side control.

Pindolov throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cool Arnost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pindolov checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Pindolov feints the counter takedown.

Arnost forces Pindolov back against the cage and clinches.
Pindolov is trying to push Arnost away but Arnost has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Pindolov is looking to break free of the clinch but Arnost has double underhooks.

Arnost's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Arnost drops Pindolov with a beautiful combination! Pindolov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Arnost is looking for the KO!


It looks like Siusiakov Pindolov has been cut.

Arnost closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pindolov quickly recovers to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Arnost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pindolov keeps working.
Arnost not doing much here.

Pindolov kicks off Arnost and gets to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Arnost feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arnost trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Arnost wants to control from the top but Pindolov keeps moving.
Arnost is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pindolov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Arnost is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Arnost stops Pindolov from standing up.

Arnost trying to control but Pindolov is working from the bottom.

Pindolov is working an open guard so Arnost takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pindolov enables Arnost to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pindolov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Arnost trying to control the position from guard on top but Pindolov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pindolov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Arnost is controlling him.

Arnost stands and steps away. Pindolov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Arnost gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Pindolov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Arnost has him pressed against the cage.
Arnost prevents Pindolov from breaking the clinch.
Pindolov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Pindolov wants to break the clinch but can't.
Arnost has Pindolov pressed against the cage, preventing Pindolov from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pindolov can't break the clinch.

Arnost breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Pindolov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Arnost to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pindolov wants to stand but Arnost is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cool Arnost dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Siusiakov Pindolov's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
I was talking to Arnost's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Arnost jumps guard and drags Pindolov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Siusiakov Pindolov has got the better of the ground game so far.
Arnost is trying to control the position but Pindolov postures up.
Arnost has a closed guard, preventing Pindolov from standing up.
Arnost will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arnost is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Arnost is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pindolov can do to turn this around?

Pindolov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Siusiakov Pindolov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Arnost dives in and scores a takedown into Pindolov's guard.

Pindolov pushes Arnost off and gets back to his feet.
Arnost will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Arnost throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pindolov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Arnost is in Pindolov's guard.

Pindolov manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arnost trying to control the position but instead, Pindolov has worked for underhooks and has pushed Arnost into the cage.

Pindolov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Arnost is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pindolov to the mat. Pindolov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Arnost stays in close to Pindolov's body and controls the position.
Pindolov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Pindolov manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Pindolov is looking to break free of the clinch but Arnost has double underhooks.
Pindolov wants to get back to striking at distance but Arnost won't allow it.

Arnost gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Pindolov manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Arnost keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Pindolov is trying to break the clinch but Arnost has him pressed against the cage.

Arnost successfully pulls guard.

Pindolov stands up and waves to Arnost to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Siusiakov Pindolov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Arnost tries to bum rush Pindolov with a series of wild strikes but Pindolov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pindolov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Arnost bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pindolov throws Arnost to one side and escapes!
This has been an exciting period of action!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Arnost throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Arnost is trying to control the action in half guard but Pindolov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Arnost working Pindolov over with strikes.
Pindolov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Arnost takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Arnost stops Pindolov from getting back to his feet.
Arnost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pindolov keeps working.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Arnost stalling away here and it's allowed Pindolov to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Pindolov pushes Arnost off and scrambles back to his feet.

Arnost feints and as Pindolov raises his hands in defense, Arnost changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Pindolov wriggles free and stands up.

Arnost feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pindolov is wriggling around but Arnost manages to pass to half guard.

Pindolov is refusing to be controlled, as Arnost sits in half guard.
Pindolov is trying to stand up here but Arnost is controlling him well.

Arnost is working for a submission of some sort.

Arnost decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Siusiakov Pindolov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pindolov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
