The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels leaves Kvasir with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Michaels moves into the clinch successfully.

Michaels breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kvasir shoots in and drives through. Michaels sprawls well.

and Michaels counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Djin Kvasir has been cut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Djin Kvasir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Michaels throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Kvasir stumbling backwards into the cage! Kvasir bounces back off the cage towards Michaels, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Michaels lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Michaels celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sean Michaels!
A relieved looking Sean Michaels thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
