PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mad Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max comes to the cage accompanied by Graveyard Symphony. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mad Max!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Stark!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark fails with the takedown
and Max counters with a one-two to the body.
Max throws a series of strikes that have Stark backpedaling.
Max stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Stark shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Max defends it nicely.
Max takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Max scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mad Max has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Stark.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Stark.
Stark lands a few punches from side control.
Max is working to avoid the ground and pound but Stark connects with a decent elbow.
Stark is working Max over with some ground and pound from side control.

Max is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Stark asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Stark has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Stark lands a nice forearm strike.
Max takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Stark in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Max looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Stark turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Jose Stark took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
