The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sayre throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ayer throws a sloppy head kick and Sayre moves out of range easily.
Ayer throws a shot from downtown. Sayre moves away and avoids it.
Sayre takes one to the side of the head.

and Sayre counters with a leg kick.
Sayre throws a leg kick which misses Ayer's front leg but catches the back leg as Ayer tries to avoid it.

Ayer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sayre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sayre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ayer gets the underhooks and prevents it.
