Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Cristoff Melkovick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Striker Mc Steel!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mc Steel lands a leg kick that knocks Melkovick off balance momentarily.

Mc Steel tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Melkovick throws a jab when Mc Steel was well out of range.
Melkovick looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mc Steel lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Melkovick throws a hook to the side of Mc Steel's head but Mc Steel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Mc Steel has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Melkovick goes for a double leg but Mc Steel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mc Steel continues to drive forward.

Melkovick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
