The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Smiff appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

It looks like Stratovarius Smiff has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smiff. Junior does a little dance to reset his feet.
Junior throws a sloppy head kick and Smiff moves out of range easily.
Carlos Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smiff lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Junior circles away quickly and effectively.

Junior wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Smiff manages to pass to side control.
Smiff lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Smiff has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Junior defend it? Smiff steps over the head and cranks it - Junior is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Smiff!
