The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lynch takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Gustafson lands with an uppercut that bounces Lynch off the cage and back into range.
Gustafson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Lynch gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gustafson.
Gustafson tests Lynch's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Lynch walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Lynch manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Lynch seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nice uppercut lands for Gustafson. That snapped Lynch's head back.
Gustafson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lynch back to the cage. Gustafson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Desmond Lynch has been cut.
Lynch tries to move into range but Gustafson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Gustafson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Gustafson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Gustafson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lynch had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Gustafson wobbles Lynch with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Gustafson dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Lynch to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
