Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Vidal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pablo Vidal has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pablo Vidal !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kyle Harris!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vidal clinches.

Vidal gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Vidal seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Harris is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Harris trying to control but Vidal postures up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris tries to roll over but Vidal keeps him under control.
Vidal controlling the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vidal stands up from half guard.
Harris throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vidal counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A big right from Harris misses.
Vidal is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Vidal clinches up against the cage.
Harris taking a breather.
Harris tries to stall but Vidal uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Vidal breaks the clinch.

Harris gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vidal to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Vidal 's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Vidal advances position into side control!
Vidal controlling the position from side mount.

Vidal decides to take the fight back to the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vidal swats away the attempt to clinch by Harris.

Vidal shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Vidal was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You can see the frustration on Harris's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Harris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vidal . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harris might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vidal haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Harris manages to get back to half guard.
Vidal controlling the action here.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Vidal tries a head kick but it misses.
Harris should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Harris is looking to clinch but Vidal is avoiding it.
Harris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Vidal moves into the clinch.
Vidal avoiding damage.
Vidal has Harris pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris wants to break the clinch but can't.
Harris is trying to break the clinch but Vidal is controlling him.
Vidal lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Vidal pulls guard.
Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Vidal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Vidal looking for a guillotine here but Harris defends easily.
Vidal wants to stand but Harris is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris throws a strike but Vidal rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Vidal slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Vidal taking a breather here.

Vidal decides to stand back up. Vidal steps back and let's Harris get back to his feet.

Vidal bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Harris tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Vidal is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Harris is defending well though. Vidal let's go of the attempt for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Harris tries to roll but Vidal sticks to his back.
Harris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Harris is having to fend off submission attempts from Vidal , who is looking to sink in the choke. Vidal doesn't have the hooks in though and Harris manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vidal holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Vidal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vidal is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Harris is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Vidal shoots in and bounces Harris off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Vidal slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vidal drops back looking for a leg! Harris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harris manages to kick Vidal off! Vidal jumps back into Harris's guard.
Vidal works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Still in half guard, Vidal seems content to control.
Harris is trying to control but Vidal manages to pass to mount!
Vidal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Harris is looking to get to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Harris tries to hold on but Vidal pushes him away.
Vidal controlling from mount.
Vidal raining down shots from the mount!
Harris tries to hold on but Vidal postures up.
Harris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Vidal has control of Harris's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Harris regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Harris keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Vidal content just to control the position here.
We've been hearing that Vidal has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vidal lands a nice shot to the head.

Vidal stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Vidal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Kyle Harris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pablo Vidal is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Vidal is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pablo Vidal showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Vidal has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
